Blog – Day 1Tuesday 6 th October
This was our first day together. We met in the canteen of saltash community school. After introductions we enjoyed a delicious breakfast consisting of croissants, toast, hot chocolate toast and bacon rolls.
We then went on a tour of the school and got to know some of the teachers and each other better. During lessons one and two we were accompanied by the Spanish and German students who were shadowing us. They observed our lessons and took part in the lessons. They observed the teachers and found out about our school.
After our lessons had ended we went to break and during our break we talked and had a snack.
After break we had another lesson. When the lesson was over we all had lunch together which was very nice. After lunch we all presented presentations about our countries, schools and towns. It was very interesting seeing the differences in school and everyday life of the other countries.
When school had finished we took the minibus into town to go shopping in drake circus.
After shopping we enjoyed a lovely meal at Cuisine Spontanee. We thought the restaurant was really original as we could choose how we wanted our food to be cooked. First we choose our vegetables and meat or fish that we wanted and then the chef cooked it in our chosen style. During dinner we talked and took photos while we ate.
After dinner we went to Plymouth Pavilions for Ice skating. It was funny because we kept falling down and the ice was so cold. There was also an ice disco going on at the ice rink with music, lights and snow.
After this we all went home for a well deserved rest!
England blog day 2:
The second day we met in the canteen and had breakfast together. Everyone got into the minibus,, and we all spent a couple of hours at the Eden project. We saw different types of plants and trees. We went into 2 different biomes. The Mediterranean was the coolest biome and had a lot of Spanish plants in. The tropical biome was very hot and there was a tropical water fall there. There was a gift shop where we all bought something like chocolate! After this we went to Padstow for a traditional Cornish pasty. We also looked around the shops. We got absolutely soaked in the rain!! Next we made our way to Polzeath and we learnt to surf!!! It was still raining!! We got given wetsuits and surfboards. We got taught how to get on the board and stand up! The surf instructors were really funny and kind when we were in the water. Some of us were good and some of us bad, but we got better! At the end we were really tired so went home on the bus very happy and very wet!!
